Young carers are children under 18. The Hounslow Young Carers Footprints project is available to young carers aged 5-18 in full time education. Being a young carer means they live with a family member with a long-term health condition, who need their care. The person receiving the care is often a parent, but can also be a sibling, grandparent or other relative who is disabled, has some chronic illness, mental health difficulty or substance misuse addiction.
